Vote for the song!!!

So, after the comments on the last post, I have narrowed it down to 8.  Heh heh.  IT WAS HARD and the most 'secondings' any of the songs had were 3 or 4.

Well, anyway.

Here are the options, in alphabetical order, because I am a librarian-secretary person so that is How It's Done. :P  Please read my descriptions as they may help you in choosing which one to vote for.

#1 A Lovely Night

This song should relatively painless.  Anyway, it's better to sing something easy than try to show off and fail miserably. :P

#2 I Could Have Danced All Night

The high note at the end is a little bit of a struggle but if my voice is in the right 'mood' it should be okay.  Or if I could just find karaoke for the key that's actually in the movie...

#3 I Have Confidence

I always used to fast-forward this song in the movie because I don't like Julie Andrews singing it.  I don't know why, okay, but it annoyed me. But then I heard Sierra Boggess and Laura Osnes singing the song, and I suddenly realized it was kind of a fun song, and it may or may not have been on my favorites list for a really long time.

#4 I Won't Say I'm In Love

This song is, in short, Not My Style.  Not at all.  And the first time I heard it I kind of hated it, except that it was funny.  But being bored in the car by myself with a princess karaoke CD... well I learned it and for some reason it's really fun to sing.  But be warned, if you make me do this one it will be more of a Joke than my Actual Singing Voice.

#5 On My Own

I adore this song.  But don't let that influence you.  As far as range goes, it's about exactly the lowest I can do without sounding grindy. Haha.

#6 The Rose of Tralee

I've never even heard all the words to this song, so if you choose this one it may be a little longer in coming because if I'm going to learn it, I intend to learn it Properly.  And, btw, I do have quite a bit of Irish in my background.  Just so ya know.

#7 Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again

AHHH THE DRAMA.  This is definitely testing my high range though.  It won't be perfect, I can promise you that.  But I still love singing it.

#8 Wouldn't It Be Loverly

Another easy one.  Ditto what I said about #1.

#9 A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes

The classic Cinderella song! Should be relatively easy to sing depending on the key.  Lily James' version is my favorite so I may be slightly influenced by that. :)

So vote away! I will leave this up for at least one week.  If you vote after 2/18/16, there is a good chance your vote will not be counted.  But it can't hurt to try. :P

NOTE: A DREAM IS A WISH YOUR HEART MAKES is also an option, but I forgot to include it in the poll. If this is your vote, please comment!

Ohhh, it was so hard to choose just one!
But I went with "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again." :) Can't wait to find out which song "wins"!

Choose ONE was SUPER HARD. But I went with 'I could've danced all night.' Because it's pretty.

Oh, and wasn't 'A Dream is a Wish' going to be on this list, too?

I chose Rose of Tralee :)

Naomi,
Oh goodness, you are right! So sorry I forgot to include that! I added a note in the post so if anybody wants to vote for that one they can comment and I will include it. :)

Oh, I would have voted for "A Dream"! Oh well. "Wishing" is a good one, too. :)

Natalie,
This is totally my fault... I will discount one voice on Wishing and add one to A Dream. :)

I'll wish for 'A Dream' then. :-) I LOVE that song. :-D

It was a little hard to pick . . . but I went for "Rose of Tralee." Because, y'know. Irish pride, and all that. (Plus it's one of my favorite love songs ever.)

If you want to hear all the lyrics, this is a good version:

Hi Melody!
I was wondering, where did the post "My 'Love Life'" go? I read it the other day and found it very interesting! If you decided to keep it private, I'd understand, but I was rather disappointed to find it missing when I came back to read it again. Hope you don't mind my asking! :)

Natalie,
Thanks for asking! I appreciate the fact that you even noticed. I had reverted it back to draft because it seemed sudden and uncalled for or something... and, to be honest, because I'd had a little bit of unfavorable feedback about the post in my personal life, and no comments on it at all, and I was afraid it seemed too out of character for my blog so I decided to think on it a little more. However, since you're interested, I've re-published it and we'll see. ;)
Thanks again.

Melody,
Just posted my comment! :D Thank you for putting it back up! I'm glad I asked. :) I'm sorry that you had some bad feedback. :/ I definitely would love to see more "personal" posts like that one, so I hope that feedback won't keep you from writing more posts like it!

Would you rather hear the story...
