About Melody

My photo
I'm a thoroughly old-fashioned young lady who was first introduced to Jane Austen over ten years ago and wasn't quite sure what was happening until it had suddenly become my favorite interest. By saying that I am "old-fashioned" I mean that it seems I would belong better in some bygone era, and since I cannot go back in time, I must satisfy myself by doing it in my mind as much as possible through reading classic literature and historical fiction, watching period dramas, writing, listening to old-fashioned music, daydreaming, and indulging in general old-fashioned activities such as sewing or playing the pianoforte. When I began my blog (Regency Delight ~Jane Austen, etc.~) in the beginning of 2011 I only knew a handful of people remotely like me, and since then I have "met" more than I had imagined might exist, some of which have come to mean much more to me than just 'blogging friends.'
