Guest Post on Yet Another Period Drama Blog

Miss Dashwood of Yet Another Period Drama Blog asked me to guest post for her Jane Austen's Birthday week, and put together a sort of interview for me. If you would like to read it, click here. It is about Jane Austen's romances.

Melody,
Merry Christmas! That YouTube channel with the piano sheet music has the song from Miss Potter "When You Taught Me How to Dance". I thought you might be interested in it.

Oh! Thank you, Miss Lizzy! I love this YouTube channel and check it oftenish, but I might not have noticed this for a while! I'll have to print it out and see if I can play any of it. =) I like this song. Thank you!

And Merry Christmas!

P.S. Have you attempted any of the songs? Little Dorrit is very fun, and tolerably easy. =)

Melody,
You're welcome! I tried My Father's Favorite, but could only do one measure with both hands (on treble clef I could do the song: I used to play the flute, so I'm very comfortable with treble clef). I think that YouTube channel is still a little advanced for me (I'm still a beginner), but I hope to be able to play their songs soon.

Well, My Father's Favorite is actually quite difficult! Little Dorrit has a much easier left hand, because it's sort of a repeating pattern and easy to memorize.

I also did Marianne's song from the 2008 S&S about a year ago, but I think that's harder than LD.

I still haven't learned all of My Father's Favorite. I know more than a page though! But it is rather challenging.

Melody,
I just looked at the music for Marianne's song from 2008 S&S recently. I'm not quite sure, but it might look promising! I may attempt it. I learned part of the Little Dorrit theme with the right hand, but didn't have very much success with the left hand; that was quite a while ago that I attempted it, so I may take another try at it. Have you tried any of the other songs that were fairly easy?

Hello Melody!

How fun that you found my blog backgrounds blog! :)

Well, as for pale pink with a small fabric print, I do not have anything quite like that... I have pale pink fabric print, and I have small fabric print, but not a combination. Offhand I am recollecting a pale pink background with cherry blossoms in a vase in the "Mulberry & Grape" set, but I wasn't extremely thrilled with how that came out.

However, I have been wanting to make some more backgrounds and I will make sure that a pale pink small fabric print is among the next batch! I'll let you know when I post it. Any other details your friend might like in her background? Roses, a chandelier, etc? Cupcakes? I have a lot of different elements available to design with. :D

Blessings,
Julia

Congratulations! I really love your blog, you write such interesting posts! I also love all things vintage and antique and that old fashioned charm every single Jane Austen books have.
Greetings from a portuguese fan (excuse my english...)

Oh, Miss Bennet, I never answered you! I think Little Dorrit and Marianne's song were the two easiest out of the ones I've tried. Haha, except for the one-handed part of the Emma 'The Seaside' duet! If you can get someone to play the left side part! ;-)

Would you rather hear the story...
