LADIES, LADIES, LADIES!!!!!!!!
LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP IS IN THEATERS AND SUDDENLY WITHIN MY REACH!!!!
For the first time, the very first time, since I became a fan of Jane Austen, there is a real adaptation now in theaters (it's the BACKGROUND of IMDb, for Pete's sake!!!) and I am itching, aching, dying to see it!!!
I don't know why the excitement hit me suddenly with such force. I suppose it's because I wasn't sure when it was coming out, or if it even would go into theaters. I rarely go to theaters at all, and when I do, it's what I call the "dollar theater"-- a local one that gets movies just as the bigger theaters are being done with them, and is much less expensive. In fact, I personally have never bought my own ticket to go to a 'regular' theater to see a movie as soon as it comes out. Ever.
This, however, is going to be an exception.
Not knowing when my time limit was to be up, I never did read all of Lady Susan... so pathetic of me. I have been meaning to do it for years. However, Librivox to the rescue! I am listening to it in the car tomorrow, and every day, until I'm through.
Anyways. Sometimes I do forget what a crazed fan I am. And then in moments like this, when I get suddenly so excited to boiling over, I remember... and it's lovely.
(Also, I'm super excited about seeing Kate Beckinsale in another Jane Austen! I did like her a lot as Emma. And JEEVES! Ehehehehe.)
(Okay, shutting up.)
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP is all I really have to say!

ReplyDeleteEmma and I plan to watch this together AND OH I AM SO SO EXCITED. :-D (About the movie as well as watching it with Emma, haha.) It looks SO brilliant and clever.
ReplyDeleteOh, that looks very interesting! I hope it comes out on DVD soon...
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I've been looking forward to this too. I can't wait to see it; maybe I will this weekend!

ReplyDeleteSeriously. That is the best thing I've heard since . . . well, since I heard Emma Thompson was going to play Mrs. Potts in the new "Beauty and the Beast" movie :-)
