The other thing - I wanted to have a picture of myself in my Regency-styled dress for my profile, and I thought I might as well put a bigger picture on this post too, for anybody interested. Yes, I made the dress, and the hat too. =)
That's awesome! Did you use a pattern for the Regency dress? Which one?
ReplyDeleteLove the dress and hat. :) Truly delightful. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting about posting...I appreciate it. :)
Miss Bennet: This is the pattern I used: http://www.simplicity.com/p-2088-costumes.aspx
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks, you two. :)
Miss Bennet: Oh, and it's the long sleeved one, in case you couldn't tell. I just made the sleeves shorter.
ReplyDeleteMelody,
ReplyDeleteI have that pattern! It's a good pattern.
Awesome Dress!

Melody, I enjoyed reading your interview with Charity U over at Austenitis and learning more about you! I look forward to reading your guests posts there!
ReplyDeleteYour dress is so lovely! I really like the fabric color and the lace accents. And a bonnet too, how lovely! Oooh, that's the Regency dress pattern from Sense & Sensibility Patterns! I really admire you ladies who can sew and make such lovely things!

Old-Fashioned Charm
Liz, Abby, and Miss Laurie:
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! I'm hoping to make a ball-gown type Regency dress before too long.
